She is a visual artist and illustrator who mainly uses paper and my practice explores boundaries between 2D and 3D crossing over several realms - Craft, Illustration and Art. She has been fascinated by the malleable nature of paper with uses such as folding, cutting-out and layering and has been exploring the transformation and the relationship of flat sheets of paper into figures and, moreover, the combination of light and shadow. Illustration for her is not merely to “describe” in 2D but also to carve out the expansive notion and possibilities of illustration as a method of reflecting the society in which we live.
