Kinemura’s projection work dealt with four historical drawings found inside Dōgo Onsen Honkan, the meanings of which have since been lost. When a visitor sat down at the Honkan’s Kami no Yu 2F, an animation would quietly commence, projecting images of a beautiful white egret, legendary figures, and other personalities from Japanese history.
Shiro KinemuraKinemura works chiefly in video game art direction, and user experience. He was conceptual art director/designer for “space channel5” and “killer7,” which were Jury Selections at the Japan Media Arts Festival Entertainment Division. His “Street Fighter 4 Trailer Movie” was chosen for the SIGG RAPH Asia Film Festival. He is best known for an iPhone app “poegram” that reads out love poems by Shuntaro Tanikawa, and a cute calculating app called “Galcalc iPhone.”
