Tactile picture 301 seconds / Yamazawa Shoten 2020

These are paintings from the time when Mr. Hibino experienced the culture of recognizing the world through touch instead of sight or hearing, when he interacted with the visually and hearing impaired and, thus he confronted the screen mainly using touch. He faces the canvas with Oilbars (painting material like solidified paint) in his hands, eyes closed, and paints using only his tactile senses. Additionally, this “work” considers the process of painting as a part of the piece and shows Mr. Hibino working through AR.
