Michi to Tori

This particular work connected the town’s past and future with the white egret, a symbol of Dōgo Onsen. You could test your imagination by gazing at the beautiful shadow pictures. The title “Michi to Tori” (Paths and Birds) is a reference to the Japanese Kanji character for “egret,” which is a composite of the characters for “path” and “bird.”

Hiroko Fujiki

Born in Tokyo, she has been exhibiting since 1993.With the theme of "an existence", Fujiki has produced visual installations implementing animated figures, mainly themed around shadow picture projections for expositions, events, and shop displays.
