Once knitted, the work is untied and knitted again.
The artist believes that the transformative nature of knitting is similar to the way people live, natural phenomena, and all other phenomena in the world. Knitted fabrics are made of 800 recycled towels that have been used at Dōgo Onsen Honkan and other inns and hotels that are members of Dōgo Onsen Ryokan Cooperative Association. The fabrics are dyed, cut, and sewn at a factory in Ehime Prefecture, which are then knitted in order of completion. For diorama works, such as buildings, leftover yarn from knitting factories is also used.
