Ten selected fireworks photographs from the photograph collection called “Lightof” book will be placed on the northern side of The Main Building of Dogo Onsen as well the western shoji and glass (in select places). Another 24 pictures that were not featured in the book also adorn the wall, making a total of 34 pictures. It is an installation of a grand scale which uses the Main Building of Dogo Onsen itself and changes its appearance as day turns to night.

She has received many awards such as the Ihei Kimura Photography Award. Director of the movies “Sakuran (2007)” and “Helter Skelter (2012)”. She is also engaged in video work. In 2008, museums nationwide held the “Ninagawa Mika Exhibition”. Her photograph collection from Rizzoli N.Y. was published and was talked about in countries all over the world. In 2016, she held a large solo exhibition in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Taiwan, (MOCA Taipei) and the museum record of spectator numbers was significantly revised. The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games appointed her as an Executive Board Member.
In the "Ninagawa Mika and Dogo Onsen, Dogo Art 2015" held in 2015, she developed an installation in the main building of the Dogo Hot Spring in addition to “wrapping” the city streetcars. This effort contributed to an increase in the number of visitors to Dogo compared to the previous year. Thus, Dogo Onsen received the first prize in the Women’s Travel Division of the popular hot spring resort ranking sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism Agency.
